CHEF’S PROFILE
– MEHERNOSH MODYMehernosh Mody was born in India; a Parsee from
Bombay with deep-rooted culinary inspirations from the sub-continent
and French occupied India. After 10 years of training and experience
he is currently Executive Chef at London’s prestigious La Porte des
Indes. Dining at his restaurant is pure theatre; he is a master
in blending spices and flavours to a high degree of sophistication
that he has achieved his own unique style
of cooking.
Mehernosh has also just finished writing a book, which is to be
published later this year. This entailed travelling around India
to research original recipes.
After just one year of business the restaurant gained a nomination for
‘Best Indian Restaurant’ by Carlton London Restaurant Awards and was
awarded ‘Best Indian’ and ‘Best UK’ Restaurant by
the Good Curry Guide.
An avid fan of rock music and travelling, he loves experimenting
with unusual foods. |
