London’s Executive Chef, Khun Sompong Gains Recognition From
Hammersmith & Fulham Council
Blue Elephant is
pleased to announce that executive chef Khun Somphong has been
awarded second place in the ‘Chef of the Year’ competition organised
by the Health & Safety Authorities of Hammersmith and Fulham Council
that took place at Hammersmith and West London College in November
2006.
The
‘Chef of the Year’ competition highlights hygiene standards whilst
promoting creative and healthy cooking. Throughout the summer
participating restaurants were constantly visited by examiners to
check for cleanliness, cooking standards and nutritional value of
dishes and we are pleased to report that Blue Elephant passed with
flying covers.
On the day of the final Khun Somphong prepared a starter of Laab
Salmon and main course of Lamb Chops with Masaman Sauce. Both dishes
suitably impressed the judges, scoring high marks for both creative
and healthy cooking and Khun Somphong duly collected his prize for
second place – congratulations to Sompong and all at Blue Elephant
