MOSCATO D’ASTI ‘ZAGARA’ MARCHESI DI BAROLO, PIEDMONT ~ ITALY
A low alcohol level and a sweet and lively flavour reflecting that of the grapes makes this wine an excellent accompaniment for desserts. Moscato d’Asti Zagara is, in fact, the dessert wine par excellence. A straw yellow color with golden reflections; an intense, aromatic odour with scents of orange blossoms, which accounts for the wine’s name.
MUSCAT DE BEAUMES DE VENISE GEORGES DUBOEUF, RHONE ~ FRANCE
Despite its minimum 15% alcohol, low acidity and intense sweetness Muscat de Beaumes de Venise is surprisingly delicate and refreshing with a lovely floral fragrance and sweet, pale-gold, grapey fruit. Made exclusively from the best variety, Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, it is made by adding pure grape spirit to the must when it has reached 5% alcohol.
