  • WHITES - CHABLIS 1ER CRU ‘LES VAUCOPINS’ A. BICHOT, BURGUNDY ~ FRANCE

There is 20% oak in this cuvée. A more honeyed nose here, no doubt reflecting this. Still the same polished style though, and a fairly weighty, attractive palate. Less vibrant acidity, a broad and quite honeyed character, and a mouth-filling substance.

  • CHABLIS GRAND CRU ‘LES CLOS’ A. BICHOT, BURGUNDY ~ FRANCE

Massively character on the nose, full of exotic, dried, straw-tinged fruit, overlaid with elements of honey and vanilla. The palate is rich and textured. Broad, textured, substantial, stony but very creamy too.

  • CHABLIS GRAND CRU ‘LES CLOS’ A. BICHOT, BURGUNDY ~ FRANCE

Massive character on the nose here, with a huge panoply of honeyed, oaky fruit. Rich and golden, orchard fruit sweetness, slightly dried in character. An impressive minerally seam on the palate, soft grip at the core, but with good acidity too. This is a big, exotic wine of certain grand cru quality. It is just so complete, so harmonious, with richness, elegance and grip.

  • PULIGNY-MONTRACHET J. DROUHIN, BURGUNDY ~ FRANCE

Good minerality and tension between the structure and fruit. Butter, lemon, melon and masses of terroir. Excellent!

  • RIESLING GRAND CRU ‘SAERING’ DOMAINES SCHLUMBERGER, ALSACE ~ FRANCE

Wonderful Alsacian Riesling. Complex nose full of diesel, citrus, herbs, and quinine. It’s dry, but the fruit is ripe and gives an impression of sweetness. Nice, bright acidity. Very balanced and long.

  • RIESLING GRAND CRU ‘SAERING’ DOMAINES SCHLUMBERGER, ALSACE ~ FRANCE

Beautiful mature Riesling that’s holding on nicely. Light golden in colour, with ample notes of petrol, roasted nuts and orange peel.

  • RIESLING GRAND CRU ‘SAERING’ DOMAINES SCHLUMBERGER, ALSACE ~ FRANCE

Lovely, in a dry style, with characteristic pine forest, flowers and apple notes backed by lively acidity. It’s beginning to take on some evolved character, with accents of honey and liquorice.

  • REDS - GRAND VIN DE CHÂTEAU LATOUR

1er Cru Classe, Pauillac-Bordeaux ~ France. Packed with immense power and excellent fruit. Admirable!

  • CHÂTEAU MOUTON - ROTHSCHILD

1er Cru Classe, Pauillac-Bordeaux ~ France Subdued earth and medium-dark fruits on the nose. On the palate, lightly tart cassis and dark fruits. This wine is quite tannic. The mid-palate and finish are somewhat light.

  • CHÂTEAU LAFITE-ROTHSCHILD

1er Cru Classe, Pauillac-Bordeaux ~ France Classic nose of pencil, cigar box, currants, and dark berries. Some wet stone and earth along for the ride with the black fruit palate. Great length!

  • CHÂTEAU HAUT-BRION

1er Cru Classe, Pessac Leognan-Bordeaux ~ France. Very Graves like nose with dark red berry and cherry with a bit of mocha, leather, and tobacco. Great texture, acid structure and minerality. Absolutely delicious.

  • CHÂTEAU RAUZAN-SEGLA

2ieme Cru Classe, Margaux-Bordeaux ~ France. Succulent nose of ripe cassis, flowers, minerals and a touch of saddle leather. Interesting combination of cabernet cassis aromas and earthy evolved merlot aromas. On the palate, this is sweet, but not overly so, and wonderfully concentrated.

  • CHÂTEAU PALMER 3 IEME CRU CLASSE, MARGAUX-BORDEAUX ~ FRANCE

Smooth, quite pure nose shows intense red and black fruits. Perfumed, appealing and open.

  • CHÂTEAU PALMER 3 IEME CRU CLASSE, MARGAUX-BORDEAUX ~ FRANCE

This wine has a very good nose, with some hints of aging: dark fruit, leathery earthiness. Very good velvety start, and very good body, but the tannins are still very present in the finish.

  • CHÂTEAU LAGRANGE 3 IEME CRU CLASSE, SAINT JULIEN-BORDEAUX ~ FRANCE

Nose has some light graphite, sautéed mushrooms, dense floral, pine bark and bright cherry. This is a very juicy Lagrange with really pure cherry, cream, and a hint of bitter chocolate. The wine is medium bodied, and a very pretty dark ruby/light purple colour.
